Scope of the Prize (INFO About 2025 Applications soon online)

The European Society for Clinical Investigation (ESCI) sponsors 4 fellowships of € 500  each in order to cover expenses related to the presentation of abstracts by young researchers in scientific meetings in Europe that are not organized by ESCI.

Eligibility

• Applicants must be under 30 years old at the time of submitting their application.
• Basic or clinical researchers connected to any research or medical institution in the world who presented a research work (poster/oral) at the previous ESCI meeting.

Applicants should submit online

• a one-page short CV
• letter of motivation with description and importance of the meeting for the researcher´s career (1-page max)
• filled application form (download here)

Time frame application

The call opens December each year, and results will be communicated to the winners before March 1 of the following year. The meeting to be attended should be held until December of the same year.

Evaluation

A committee composed by four ESCI Council Members (basic and clinical research) will evaluate the applications.

Prizes

The four selected applicants will win a € 500  grant to cover expenses related with abstract presentation in the scientific meeting.

Verification and awarding

Payment to the winners will be done after the meeting, together with a certificate. The winners should send a 1-page max. report on the meeting they attended, together with proof of verification of inclusion of ESCI support (“Supported in part by the European Society for Clinical Investigation (ESCI)”) in poster or oral communication (e.g. photos or copy of acknowledgement slide) and attendance certificate. If the applicant fails to provide verification, he/she will not receive the award.
