About Us

Unrestricted by national boundaries, we discuss, meetup and debate.

The European Society for Clinical Investigation was established in 1967 as a pan-European Society to integrate clinicians and fundamental scientists with a genuine interest in uncovering the mechanisms involved in the pathophysiology of human disease.

Unrestricted by national boundaries, the Society provides a forum for discussion, debate and meeting colleagues in order to advance the science of clinical investigation. The term ‘clinical investigation’ is interpreted widely from bench to bedside including animal studies relevant to humans in health or disease.

Our Society welcomes new members from all over Europe.

The Society in the future:
The Society has taken actions in order to welcome potential new members from the new European countries. This includes special membership fees, travel grants for young scientists to attend the Annual Scientific Meeting, the planning of courses in research training etc. Our goal is to be the leading clinical research society in Europe.
