I am working as a Post-doctoral fellow at the MSH Medical School Hamburg, Germany where I am currently investigating the impact of circadian alterations on aging in mammals. Aldo Bonaventura got his M.D. degree at the University of Pavia (Italy) in 2011, his Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Genoa (Italy) in 2018, and his PhD in Onco-hematology and Clinical and Translational Internal Medicine in 2020 at the University of Genoa (Italy). During these years period, he joined the research group led by Prof. Montecucco investigating the inflammatory pathogenesis of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases with a special focus on the role of innate immunity and the Pauley Heart Center of the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, USA under the guidance of Prof. Abbate to study the central role of interleukin-1β and the NLRP3 inflammasome in the pathogenesis of recurrent pericarditis.
He is now Attending Physician at Medical Center of Ospedale di Circolo e Fondazione Macchi in Varese, where he is involved in the management of patients with multiple comorbidities and continues his research in the field of acute and recurrent pericarditis.
He is a Member of the European Society of Clinical Investigation (ESCI) since 2016 and a Member of the ESCI Young Research Committee since 2021. He is also Member of Società Italiana di Diabetologia (SID), Federazione delle Associazioni di Dirigenti Ospedalieri Internisti (FADOI), Società Italiana di Medicina Interna (SIMI), European Society of Cardiology (ESC), Heart Failure Association of ESC, and Società Italiana di Cardiologia (SIC).
He received different prizes and participated as an invited speaker to a number of national and international conferences.
He authored more than 130 articles on peer-reviewed journals (h-index: 30) mainly focused on the role of innate immunity in the pathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases (atherosclerosis, pericarditis). He is Member of the Editorial Board of Diabetology & Metabolic Syndrome, BMC Cardiovascular Disorders and International Journal of Cardiology.

Hello, I’m Stefano Ministrini!
I’m a member of the ESCI since 2017. In 2021, I joined the Young Research Council, because I wanted to contribute to the aim of ESCI, that is helping young scientists in.
I am an MD by education, with a specific training in general internal medicine and a PhD in Clinical and Molecular Medicine.
Currently I’m employed at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, where I do translational research in the fields of cerebrovascular disorders and cardiovascular aging.
When I’m not actively doing research, I like to enjoy a night at the opera and, of course, the wonderful mountains of Switzerland.

I am from Coimbra – Portugal. I joined ESCI in 2020 and in 2021 as a Young Research Council member, hoping to help creating a young rechearcher’s network and to publicize the importance of clinical and translational research.
I work as Internal Medicine Attending physician in Centro Hospitalar e Universitário de Coimbra (CHUC) being able to work and doing clinical research in the area of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular risk, nutrition, geriatrics and critically ill care. In the general ward, I work in proximity with Internists specialized in liver diseases. I currently changed my PhD investigation to work on atherosclerosis.
I am also an Invited Assistant in Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Coimbra teaching Geriatrics, Nutrition and as a tutor of the last year medical students.
Finally, I am a member of the Board of the Portuguese Atherosclerosis Society, of the Nucleus for Studies on Prevention and Vascular Risk of the Portuguese Society of Internal Medicine and I am an alternate member of the Sub-Regional Council of the Coimbra Sub-Region of the Medical National Association.

Hello, I am Felippe Henrique Zuccolotto dos Reis!
I have a Bachelor in Biomedicine, Masters degree in Biosciences applied to Pharmacy and PhD in Neurology with focus on Mitochondrial Diseases.
In 2021, I joined the Young Research Council in order to contribute to the ESCI objectives, particularly in the organization and divugation of the ASMs and helping young researchers progreding in their careers.
Currently, I work as a biomedical technician at Unilabs (Faro, Portugal) and doing a post doctoral graduation in Biomedicine at University of Algarve, Portugal.
In my free time I like to enjoy the beautiful beaches of Algarve and rock ‘n’ roll concerts.

Dr. Jamol Uzokov graduated from the Tashkent Medical Academy in 2013. After that, he pursued his studies and earned his MSc in Cardiology at the Tashkent Medical Academy in 2016. He received his PhD in Cardiology at the Republican Specialized Scientific Practical Medical Center of Therapy and Medical Rehabilitation, where he is currently working as a cardiologist, researcher, and group leader of young scientists. He pursued his continuing education in order to improve his professional and scientific knowledge at prestigious universities, including Harvard Medical School and the University of Oxford.
Dr. Jamol Uzokov joined the ESCI Young Research Council in 2021 with his enthusiasm to contribute to the aim of the ESCI and promote science among young researchers throughout the world. He is a Young Fellow of the European Atherosclerosis Society, a Young Ambassador for the European Association of Preventive Cardiology, and a Member of the European Society of Cardiology.
He is an editorial board member and a reviewer for several international peer-reviewed journals. He has delivered valuable speeches at various national and international Congresses and chaired sessions. He received a number of awards and scholarships, including the Presidential State Scholarship in 2022. His main research focused on clinical trials, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, and preventive cardiology. In his spare time, he enjoys reading books and doing sports.
