The European Society for Clinical Investigation (ESCI) invites all members and non-members to submit ORIGINAL, unpublished images related to biomedicine (basic, translational, clinical research) to the ESCI-BioArt image contest.
Scope of the Prize: The European Society for Clinical Investigation (ESCI) invites all members and non-members to submit ORIGINAL, unpublished images related to biomedicine (basic, translational, clinical research) to the first BioArt image contest.
Who can apply: Fundamental researchers or clinicians, no age limit, connected to any research or medical institution in the world.
Submission: Each participant can submit one unpublished, copyright-free (except attributed to the author) image obtained in the context of research or clinical practice that better relates biomedicine with art. Images should be uploaded in the ESCI website as jpg files, in high-definition (300-600 dpi).
Images should be accompanied with a title and a short (max: 200 words) description.
Evaluation: A committee composed by the Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Clinical Investigation and two ESCI Council Members (clinical and basic research).
Deadline: April 30, 2023
Prizes: The three best images, with description, will be published in the European Journal of Clinical Investigation, while the best selected image will get a prize of €500, converted into a Travel Grant/registration at the next Annual Meeting of ESCI. All submitters will get a two-year free registration as ESCI members.
Exclusions: Images and applications not made through the site, images not related with biomedicine, images without description. More images from the same applicant will not be accepted.
