General information
The European Society for Clinical Investigation invites applications for travel grants for attending the 49th Annual Scientific Meeting in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. A total of 25 travel grants will be awarded up to a maximum of EUR 400. Guidelines and rules are listed below and should be read carefully before completing the application form.

The deadline for travel grant application is 20 February 2015

Eligibility
The 2015 ESCI travel grants will be given to young investigators

  • under the age of 35
  • who are ESCI member since 15 January 2015 *
  • who will have an abstract presentation, oral or poster

Nature of support
The ESCI Council will consider applications for financial support towards:

  • travel expenses
  • accommodation
  • registration

Travel
Applicants are expected to travel by the most economical means available and to make advantage of discount fares, charter arrangements etc.

Accommodation and support
Depending on the venue of the meeting, support will usually be considered only for the less expensive hotels, bed and breakfast, youth hostels, etc.

Allocation of funds
The allocation of funds will be determined by the Council’s final decision. It will be left to their discretion to decide whether individuals will receive partial or total support. In order to spread the benefit to as many applications as possible, requests for partial support will more likely be selected.
